The Discovery - Unlock What You Actually Want

You're in.

Access instructions will hit your inbox shortly. Make sure hello@scoutandcircle.co is added to your safe senders list, and keep an eye on junk just in case. You’ll also get access to the portal - this will come from Thrivecart and you’ll be asked to set up an account to get access.

What’s next?

The Discovery is on its way to your inbox. Set aside an evening this week, somewhere nobody will interrupt you, and have paper to hand.

By the end of it the real want is written down, along with a route to it that doesn't ask you for a five-year plan or for you to burn down the life you've built.

Some women take that page and run with it on their own.

Others get to the end of the evening and find that what they've uncovered is bigger than one decision, and that they'd like someone holding the bar for them for once, instead of being the one who holds it for everybody else.

That's what The Threshold is for.

The Discovery gets it onto the paper. The Threshold is the six months of building it.

Six months, a small group of senior women in male-dominated industries, and The Crossing, the six-stage method I use to move a woman from knowing what she wants to living inside it. A private Slack and direct access to me the whole way through. It starts on Monday 5 October.

The next step is a strategy call, and we'll both be honest about whether it's a fit. Everything else is below.

You've built something impressive on paper. Now you're asking if this is really it.

For senior women who have started asking "is this it?”

And are ready to design a career they actually love without losing what they've worked so hard to build.

The Threshold

I speak to everyone who joins first. We'll look at your current situation, where you want to go next, and I'll tell you honestly whether this is the right next step for you.

Next cohort starts 5 October · Six months · £2,000

You haven't had a breakdown.

You're too composed for that, and you're juggling too much to stop anyway. It's quieter than a breakdown: a slow burn that's been building for longer than you've admitted, and a growing ache that something has to change.

It probably followed something specific. The review that came back with feedback that meant basically nothing. The promotion that went to someone who did less. The email after your biggest win that nobody answered. The redundancy round that a part of you was secretly hoping you’d get because it would force your hand somehow.

You've absorbed unfairness before. You've been reasonable. You've been patient. You've been grateful, because that's what you were told the deal required. And you've delivered, every time, at a level most people around you couldn't match.

And still.

"I've been reasonable for fifteen years. Look where reasonable got me."

"I did everything they asked. Everything. And it still wasn't enough."

"I can't sit in one more meeting nodding at decisions I know are wrong."

"If I stay, I know exactly what the next five years look like."

You already know you want something different, and you've got a fair idea of which direction. You've checked what the mortgage actually needs. You've looked at what your redundancy package would be. You've caught yourself imagining the sabbatical, the business, the move, and then called yourself unrealistic and closed the tab.

You're ready. You've just been told to push the want down for so long that the route from here to there is hard to see.

That’s what The Threshold is for.

CLIENTS INCLUDE

You've already tried the sensible things.

The coaching that helped a bit but didn't shift the thing underneath. The applications you half-wrote and closed. The networking that felt like performance. The friends who told you what you already knew.

None of it has moved you.

You don't have a decision problem. You've got a set of beliefs someone else handed you, and they've been making the decisions for you.

Beliefs about what's realistic, what's allowed, and what a woman like you does next, handed over so early and so consistently that they stopped feeling like rules and started feeling like the truth.

They sound like the market's too uncertain right now, or I should be grateful for what I have, or I don't want to risk what I've built. And the one that's kept more women in place than all the others put together: maybe I just need to give it more time.

Knowing the reason you’re not allowing yourself to move, and taking it apart are two different jobs. If awareness were enough, you'd already be moving.

What moves you is a decision. Not waiting for the fog to lift or for someone to give you permission, but sitting down with your life, building the vision you've been talked out of, and making a strategy that gets you there without gambling what you've already built.

“I'd won an industry award and I was still sitting there asking myself why anyone would hire me. Six months after starting this work, I had new role, with higher pay, building my own team from scratch and reporting to the C-Suite."

Director, Financial Services

The Threshold is a six-month group programme for senior women who are ready to design a career they actually love.

You don't need to be certain, and you definitely don't need to be unafraid. You need to be done waiting for the answer to arrive on its own.

Fortnightly calls, every second Monday at 6pm. Structured working sessions through The Crossing, in a group of no more than ten women, and you'll leave each one having moved something forward.

A Slack community between calls. The other women in the group, and direct access to me, for when the old rules try to take the wheel back at 10pm on a Sunday before the conversation you've been dreading.

A self-study programme aligned to the work. Materials for each stage of The Crossing, so the thinking you do between calls has somewhere to go.

Monthly bonus sessions. An extra session each month for when the work needs more space than a single call can hold.

Join before 30 September and you'll receive a free one-to-one session with me. One hour, just the two of us, before the group begins, so you hit the ground running on 5 October.

The Threshold starts 5 October.

The Crossing

My framework built from 7 years of helping hundreds of women create the kind of magic that leads to more money, more purpose, and more self-love.

Six months, six stages, from the question you've been asking in private to the plan you've been sketching in your head, underway.

You can't design a life that meets a high bar while you're still measuring your value by someone else's ruler.

Stage One: The Awakening

We put the story you tell next to the pattern you actually live, and the belief loses its disguise. By the end of this stage, you'll know where your power got handed over and exactly what you're taking back.

Most women describe this as the moment everything started to make sense. The answers haven't arrived yet, but the right questions finally have.

Stage Two: The Authority

We draw the line between what belongs to the system and what belongs to you, so the anger lands where it belongs instead of turning inward. You'll come out knowing what's in your control and putting your energy there.

It’s exhausting to carry around blame that was never yours. This stage lets you put it down.

Stage Three: The Worth

We set your value by your own measure, build the boundaries and say the numbers out loud. You'll leave with a no that doesn't need an apology and a bar you hold without having to psych yourself up for it.

A small belief produces a small plan, which is why this comes before the vision.

Stage Four: The Want

Once the old rules stop running the show, we ask what you want. Not the reasonable version, but the one you've been calling unrealistic and coming back to anyway.

We map every option, including the ones you've been editing out. You'll leave with a goal that's been checked for one thing: whether it's big enough.

Stage Five: The Way

We build your plan and test it: does it get you there, is it honest about the money, and what would make ten years happen in four?

This is where things start moving visibly. The decisions you've been putting off get made, and the plan comes out of your head and into your diary.

Stage Six: The Arrival

By now you've made the call and you know what the next twelve months look like.

We turn the plan into action that fits how you work. The old rules will try to take the wheel back, usually right before something significant, so you'll learn to spot it and keep hold of your power when it happens. You'll leave with a bar that's yours to hold long after we're done.

I speak to everyone who joins first. We'll look at your current situation, where you want to go next, and I'll tell you honestly whether this is the right next step for you.

"I'd been finding ways to put off what I wanted for two years. Within six months of starting the work, I’d turned my dream into a reality and it all felt completely manageable. I stopped waiting to give myself permission and made it happen."

Director, Property & Planning

The Threshold is for you if:

You're senior, with a career most people would call successful, and you're at the moment where what you've built and what you actually want have stopped feeling like the same thing.

You're asking "is this it?", and you've already got a sense of the direction. Every measure of success you were handed belonged to somebody else, so of course none of them point where you want to go.

You're ready to do the work, and not "I'll start when things calm down" ready. You've watched everything else fail to move you, and you've decided something has to change.

You're self-led. You do the work between sessions and you're willing to look underneath the story you’ve been telling yourself to find out what’s really going on.

You want more than insight this time. You've already paid for plenty of that.

The Threshold is not for you if:

You need a practical fix. A new CV, a LinkedIn refresh or a job search strategy are useful things, and they're not what we do here.

You're looking for someone to hand you the answer. I'll hold you to a high bar, but the plan is yours, and that's the point.

You're not ready to let go of "yes, but" yet. This work asks you to take the reason apart rather than defend it, and if you're not there yet, the timing isn't right.

Hi, I’m Lauren

I built The Threshold because I stood at it myself.

I'd had the brilliant years: a record-breaking launch at Amazon, a team I loved, and work I was proud of. Then I moved offices and found myself somewhere my best work went unseen. I was staring at the next promotion like it was inevitable, and I realised I didn't want it, or who I'd have to become to do it.

So I did what I now teach. I saw where I'd handed my power to a system that was never going to hand it back. I protected the money. And I left for something bigger.

That was the crossing.

Then came seven years of helping senior women succeed inside systems like that one, until I couldn't ignore that the bravest women I knew had stopped asking "how do I make this work?" They were asking "is this it?", and I knew that question. I'd stood in it.

The Threshold is where we answer it.

I'm one of the UK's top-rated speakers. I've spent 15 years in senior brand and marketing roles at Amazon, Audible, Disney and the BBC. I've coached 100+ senior women, and 90% of my one-to-one clients have moved into a more senior role or a significantly better situation within six months.

And I live what I teach. Three call days a week, done by five. A polite but firm no to work that doesn't meet the bar. Prices held without apology. I ran every part of this method on myself first.

I'm a Scottish gal in East London, sweary, occasionally witchy, strategic as f*ck and I think senior women have been sold the wrong thing for long enough.

It is totally possible for you to build the career that lights you up, to fall back in love with who you are, to make f*ck you money and to also take care of your mindset in the process. My clients do this every day. It’s your turn.

“I feel like the old me again. Back in the driving seat. All of a sudden I could see all the possibilities.”
